BRIEF
This project involved converting the existing double garage into an additional comfortable bedroom for visiting family members which had access to the existing property. A small part of the garage would be retained for a small workshop and storage area with a separate stable door entrance—all designed to remain in keeping with the character of the property.
As the need to host visiting family members grew the homeowners sought a practical solution that would provide both privacy and comfort for their guests. At the same time it was essential to retain a portion of the existing space for a functional small workshop.

The instruction was to create new single storey extension / annexe to connect with the house without significantly altering the house itself.

The completed garage conversion seamlessly connected the new accommodation to the existing house without the need for major structural changes.

By making effective use of the former garage space, the project delivered a well-appointed additional bedroom alongside a separate small workshop and storage area.

The result is a substantial increase in functional living space achieved within the existing footprint adding both convenience and long-term value to the property.
OUTCOME
A significant increase in available living space without any major change to the footprint of the premises. The self-contained nature of the annexe adds considerable convenience, utility and value to the property a whole.
