Brooklands Road

Interior Alterations.

BRIEF

The property featured a previous loft conversion that included two small bedrooms, which no longer met the client's needs. The homeowners wanted to significantly enlarge the space by extending the front dormer and replacing the hipped roof with a gable end. This structural change aimed to create a new master bedroom suite complete with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite. An important part of the brief was to free up a ground floor bedroom to accommodate their grandson.

The goal was to alter the existing loft conversion into a spacious master bedroom complete with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe along with alterations to the ground floor layout to accommodate a bedroom for their grandson.

Solution

1.

Our design focused on maximising internal space and enhancing home’s functionality. To achieve this we reimagined the loft with a significantly larger front dormer, increasing the floor area and allowing more natural light to flow in.

2.

The conversion of the hipped roof to a gable end created additional headroom and a more open, versatile layout. This allowed us to transform the loft into a spacious master bedroom suite featuring a walk-in wardrobe and a modern ensuite bathroom.

3.

By redeveloping the loft into a master suite we were able to free a room on the ground floor for the client’s grandson, improving the home’s adaptability for family living.
